Anderson Cooper and his partner, Benjamin Maisani, posed together for the first time in (non-paparazzi) photos for an Architectural Digest spread on Cooper’s luxurious Brazilian vacation compound, “Casa Anderson.”
The piece on the CNN anchor’s paradise in Trancoso, Brazil, breathlessly describes “four pavilions set along a meandering path that . . . terminates in a stunning efflorescence of rain forest.” But it doesn’t include words such as “Zika, ” “Olympics” or “economic collapse, ” all of which are weighing on the country. (Protesting policemen at Rio de Janeiro’s airport have been holding a banner warning visitors, “Welcome to Hell.”)
Meanwhile, in Architectural Digest, Cooper and Maisani are pictured idly playing with some cute local dogs by their pool.
Cooper says he discovered the trendy town on vacation with Maisani and Andy Cohen.
“Within a day I was fantasizing about buying a house there . . . Andy . . . thought I was nuts, ” Cooper said. “I’ve worked in 70 countries and traveled to even more, and I’ve never seen anything like Trancoso.”
